MADE IN CH-I-TALY by Stefano Pugliese

Exercises in style. We introduce here a very interesting project by the italian Stefano Pugliese . We knew this work and we wanted to talk about it because we like it and we think it is inspiring.

It is a series of furniture, tables and stools, called Made in Ch-i-taly.
Completed between Chile and Italy (that's why its name), it is the result of a design exercise exploring the mechanical and aesthetic characteristics of wood and the RE-Y-STONE, an organic laminate obtained from recycling waste production of sugar .

The exercise consists in finding different formal solutions from simple visible insertion. So that each piece, at the end, has a unique image.
As the components of a family the final products are different and similar.

Halfway between crafts and more complex manufacturing processes the result is simple and sophisticated at the same time. It has something poetic, something we like and that seems perfect to build and inhabit the domestic space.
